What can I do about a neighbor who comes on my property when I am not home to take pictures of my animals?

Neighbor has been calling animal control on me for no reason. Now I find out when I am gone he has came over on my property to take pictures of my dog. Every time an Animal Control Officer has came because of him they always say that my dog is healthy and well taken care of.

just keep taking care of your dog ………I believe that is harrassement you should talk to a officer about it.if your dog is healthy than he is invading your privacy going on your property taking pictures trying to make you look bad.defamation of charector it is…..

your neighbor is really weird for doing that, but you should probably tell him if he does it one more time to stay off your property, or your gonna call the cops.

So you have him cited for trespassing, and have a restraining order issued. If he comes on your property again he can be arrested.

Throw your dog’s shit in your neighbor’s yard! No, seriously, you can’t stop him from taking pictures but you can charge him with trespassing. Put up a sign that says no trespassing and get a neighbor to watch for him when he does it. That way when you go to court you’ll have a witness.

Tell the police you are having this problem with your neighbor. Ask them to patrol the area a little more at least. Maybe even set up a video camera so you can catch him on tape, if he trys to do that again. Hope this helps

It sounds like this person thinks your mistreating your animal when clearly your not. Maybe they think you leave your dog out to long, or maybe not enough walks, who knows. But you are going to have a talk with him/her. Start of by telling them that you DO take care of your dog, and that just because they think otherwise makes no difference.

Tell them that just because you take care of your animal in a different way then they do does not make you a bad owner. Then before you leave tell them that if you find out that they where taking anymore pictures without your permission your going to have to call the police on them for trespassing and the like.

This happened to a friend of mine. Here’s what you do. The next time it happens, tell the AC officer you would like to file a police report on the neighbor. Ask the AC officer if they have time to wait while you phone the police, most will be happy to help. Call the police. When they come out explain the situation and have the AC officer verify the number of times AC has been out and that all their reports say the dog if fine. You can probably press charges on the neighbor. The neighbor is probably just annoyed that you have a dog and trying to get you in trouble so you have to get rid of it. Sorry this is happening. Hope it helps.

you can call the police and complain about him coming to your house and taking pics of your dog
and tell them how you feel weird that he does that and that would make him stop

I have a neighbor that calls animal control also, I started calling the Sheriff’s office and filing a harassment report. It only took a couple of visits from them and she stopped. A restraining order will help also! If you could get a photo of him on your property, you can file trespassing charges also.

If you have a fence around your yard put up a sign on it to say no trespassing-will prosecute. Then when he does it again call the police and have him arrested. Next put your dog inside of your house or garage if you can for a day or two.
Lastly with another neighbor go to this person and talk to them about what they are doing. If they get out of line walk away -do not start arguing or fighting over it. End it by saying that if he continues to trespass on your property you will have him arrested. You can also put up a sign that says camera on site that will also stop him.

Dont’ leave your dog outside and put up "no trespassing"signs. It turns out that in my state at least, you have no legal way to keep people off your property without your permission unless it is officially posted. then you can have them arrested for trespassing.
