where do they find models and cute pictures for frames? is there a place to enter pictures like that?

when you buy frames they always have a cute picture or scene. i would like to try to enter some of my pictures somewhere so they could be in a frame when someone buys it. i think it would be cool.

Usually these are taken from stock photography pictures. Photographers take the pix – some pay others don’t pay the models for these – then offer them by category to various stock photography companies. Then when a company needs pictures to represent their product, they can purchase the right to use the pix, usually for less than they can have the pix done themselves.

If you want to be in these, look for ads (Craig’s list and photography sites) for models for stock photography. BUT before you go to ANY photography shoot, check it out to make sure it’s legit, ALWAYS take someone with you and let people know where you are, etc. A few nuts can really make things difficult for legit photographers, and you want to be safe.

Also, it’s nice to have an agent or photog friend read over any contract you get, because you may sign over control of your pix without realizing it, and instad of seeing your pic in a frame at Walmart, you may find out that you’re advertising an adult website or phone service.

Your best best for just starting out is to try Istockphoto where you can submit/purchase stock images
